The hot issue at the moment!

When a website visitor enters an SSL-protected area of a website, the SSL Certificate automatically creates an encrypted connection with the visitor’s browser. Once the connection is complete, a padlock icon and https:// prefix appears in the visitors browser bar to show them it is safe to share personal information.

You can have your website site upgraded to https:// .  You can see at the top of your screen in the browser when you are on a website whether it is http:// or https://. There are various options and degrees of security available. Google state – “We encourage you to adopt HTTPS in order to protect your users’ connection to your website, regardless of the content on the site”.

Https:// protects private information, if you don’t have a shopping cart or payment gateway on your website, its not a huge issue to purchase the SSL Certificate, but you should have the upgrade to https://
